The grassland of North America is a "steppe climate", in fact, in Russia, grasslands are called Steppes. This climate makes us prone to bad WEATHER of high pressure and low pressure of the meeting and not liking each other very much - Lightning, Hail, Tornadoes, Floods, and in the northern part of the Storms. Basically, the Winds and the Clouds, what we watch and monitor - beautiful, dangerous, and can go from benign to ferocious in the blink of an eye. The weather can kill and time can be a salvation. Depends on the whims of the pressure.
