Are there any movies that can motivate me to study?

I am a great fan of motivational movies. When I was planning to run for class president, I remember watching movies that motivate leadership and it pushed me to compete. Unfortunately, will all the responsibilities that come with being a leader, I did not have as much time to study anymore. My grades have been affected and I would like to make some changes. I desperately need motivation in order to take action towards improving my grades. I would like to know how to get motivated to study and get some suggestions from movies I can watch that will motivate me to study.

Movies are a great inspiration. I have also watched a number of movies that have motivated me to accomplish a number of things in my life. The reason why inspirational movies are so effective is that they enable you to believe you can accomplish anything despite your situation. Therefore, it is always a good idea to watch inspirational movies when you need some motivation.
Here are some movies that can motivate you to study:

1. Freedom Writers

This is a movie about a teacher who motivates her class to work hard in school and pursue anything they want in life. Anyone who has experienced difficulties in learning will really benefit from watching this movie. This is a great movie that not only motivates you to study but also motivates leadership.

2. Dead Poet’s Society

If you have forgotten why learning and getting good grades is important to you, this is the movie to watch. The movie is about a teenager who is forced to live up to his parents’ expectations. He is transferred to a very strict school where he experiences living against the status quo set by the others. Eventually, he realizes what is important to him and succeeds.

3. Good Will Hunting

This movie will not necessarily teach you how to get motivation to study but it will encourage you to discover hidden talents that might make you an even better student. The movie is about a janitor who is very good in math but doesn’t know how beneficial his skills are. If you are a number-cruncher, this is the movie for you.

4. Legally Blonde

If you are feeling like the underdog in your classroom or feeling like you do not have what it takes this is a great movie to watch. It is about a girl who overlooks her feelings of inferiority and pursues her dream of getting into Harvard. This movie teaches that it is possible to accomplish all your dreams if you believe in yourself.

5. The Blind Side

Michael Oher is a man whose life was very hard to say the least. He was older than most of his classmates, he did not have a home and he wasn’t a fast learner in class. This is a movie based on a true story that will teach you the importance of working hard, it will teach you kindness and most importantly, it will encourage you to do anything you set your mind on.

Whenever you need motivation, it is always a good idea to turn to something you enjoy such as movies. This is because you have a better chance of getting motivated by enjoyable activities compared to activities you do not enjoy. However, I would advise you to go for a movie that touches on the issues you are going through. For instance, if you are
constantly last in your class, it would be a good idea to watch a movie like Think Big. Watching a movie about someone who was in your situation but overcame all odds and succeeded not only motivates you but gives you practical tips on how to change your situation. Some of the movies that I believe would help you study are The Paper Chase, Lean on Me, Rudy and The Great Debaters. Watch any of these movies when you are feeling unmotivated with school work, they will motivate you to get back to work.

I don’t usually watch movies when I need motivation to study. Movies and studies can rarely be combined. I suppose part of the reason you are not satisfied with your grades is your love for movies. If you really want to know how to get motivated to study, don’t think of movies. Try other different approaches like taking notes when you study, changing your reading location and position, reading quotes and even playing background music as you study. With all these, studying is inevitable. Movies can inspire you all right, but I’m sure that they definitely won’t make you study.
