No, because Al has a +3 charge and Cl has a -1 charge so it is AlCl3. But Na has a +1 charge and Cl still has a -1 charge. When the element is alone, then you do not enter any number after it unless it is a diatomic number. Diatomic numbers are the Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Flourine, Chlorine, Bromine, and Iodine
