There is No doubt that Hitler was genuinely popular on the eve of the second World War and, in fact, remained popular until the last days of the Third Reich. Why? He managed to separate from the Nazi party and the machinery of its government. Therefore, the people could blame the Nazi party for having done something wrong, and you believe that if Hitler found out, because he was "unconscious", he would have to remedy this situation. So we're always going to the Party or to the heads of take the heat, while he enjoyed his personal popularity.
