Answer: Option (b) is the correct answer.Explanation:it is known that for each neutral atom the number of protons is equal to the number of electrons. There are 11 protons and 11 electrons is given, that is the atom is neutral. Therefore, we can conclude that the atomic number of an atom is 11, that is, is an atom of sodium. Therefore, 11 + 12 = 23 which is the atomic mass of sodium. Therefore, the element is sodium.
