Answer: option C. the Coolant. When the liquid is vaporized(goes from liquid to vapor) absorbs a large amount of energy (called latent vaporization heat), which causes the surroindings cool. The latent vaporization heat of the fluid allows the process of cooling and the liquid coolant, this is the substance that allows the cooling process to take place.
