F = S + 24; F - 4 = 5(S - 4). S + 24 - 4 = 5S - 20 S + 20 = 5S - 20 4S = 40 S = 10, so F = 34 now. 4 years ago S = 6 & F = 30 = 5 x 6. There you have it.
