Some are much more dense than the other, so that what we actually see from Earth is the densest part of the atmosphere of the Sun, the photosphere. the photosphere is actually the lowest part of the atmosphere of the Sun, and is the one that covers. When we look at the Sun in white (visible) light, in reality we are only seeing the photosphere of the star in our solar system.
