A) The Southern continent of Gondwana. At the time there was also another great continent of Laurasia, which is now North America, Europe and Asia (b) at the end of the Paleozoic all the continents joined to form Pangea. c) at the beginning of the Paleozoic era, life was confined to the sea, where they developed.
